![]() I’m a one leg under the covers, one leg out kind of guy, and I typically look for sheets that are soft, breathable, and get better with every wash. My sleep preferences: My ideal sleep situation is a cold room with a breathable duvet to keep me warm at night. ![]() Tester: Evan Welsh, former AD brand marketer In a word, they worked and worked well-and I immediately wished I’d ordered more. They were tight on the mattress both the first night I slept on them and the following days when I worked on them. I slept in them in shorts and a T-shirt, and the sheets were cooling (but not too cool) and quickly reached a neutral, negligible temperature that felt barely there. They were easy to open and pretty easy to fit onto the bed without it becoming a team effort. My experience: Like most products from Amazon, the sheets came in the simple square box and arrived in a simple square shape. The style promises to be “durable and soft,” which feels pretty standard for any set of sheets priced over $100. In true Carrie Bradshaw-style fashion, I also like to work in my bed, so my sheets need to withstand my endless movement over the course of an entire work day.Ībout the brand: These sheets claim to deliver French linen-styled comfort and class while also being breathable, washable, and relatively affordable ($129.99 for the queen-sized set). In other words, I like them to feel as if they’re virtually not there while still adding a comforting backdrop for (hopefully) eight solid hours of sleep. I like a sleeping environment that has as little stimuli as possible-little light, little noise, little movement-and I like my sheets to conform with this general world view. ![]() My sleep preferences: I am a difficult, anxious sleeper who has no problem falling asleep, though staying asleep often proves to be far tougher. These are definitely some of the best sheets on Amazon. The bottom line: I’m a flannel sheet convert thanks to this set from Eddie Bauer and highly recommend them to anyone that wants a cute pattern or material switch up for their bedspread at a really fantastic price point. ![]() They provide the coziest feeling, as if you’re sleeping between two warm blankets but without making you overheat or sweat thanks to the material being 100% cotton. Once I washed them, they were even softer, and I quickly put them on my bed to try them out. I expected them to feel like a flannel shirt: a little bit rough but smooth at the same time. My experience: As someone who has never slept on flannel sheets in my life, I was shocked at the softness of these as soon as I pulled them out of the bag. They’re not marketed as being hypoallergenic or eco-friendly. These flannel sheets were described as being made from 100% cotton, brushed three times for extra softness, great for warm sleepers, and with an elastic secure fit. As a bonafide, self-proclaimed sheet snob, I look for sheets that are often a high thread count and of a percale weave, never really venturing out of that wheelhouse.Ībout the brand: I didn’t know that Eddie Bauer, the classic outdoor lifestyle brand, made bedding until now. Being able to layer them and then take them on and off as I please works the best. My sleep preferences: I’ve always loved sleeping in cooler temps with numerous different blankets (sheets, a duvet, a fluffy blanket on top, another fluffy blanket on top of that…you get the gist).
